-From England to Spain-

My final day in sunny London I mostly spent in the Victoria and Albert Museum, which is an interesting hob-nob sort of place, and also required me to spend some time in the London Underground.

I had been prepared by my AU buddy Frank, who's been studying in London all semestre.  Frank essentially told me that the V&A was full of all the things that didn't really have a home in the other museums, but were still interesting to see.  And he was pretty much right.  The website says it is: "the world's greatest museum of art and design, with collections unrivalled in their scope and diversity. Discover 3000 years' worth of amazing artefacts from many of the world's richest cultures including ceramics, furniture, fashion, glass, jewellery, metalwork, photographs, sculpture, textiles and paintings."

They had eclectic rooms of sculpture, several early Rodin pieces, exhibits from Asian countries, textile exhibits, pieces of some old staircase, a special Grace Kelly clothing exhibit (which I couldn't get a ticket to see), old English clothing and entire bedrooms...I wish I had more time there, but I had a plane to catch.

So naturally I made my way through the overly-complicated London Underground to Primark first - a brilliantly cheap giant store where I found 2 pound sneakers.  Only 2 pounds!  Stores like this don't exist in Paris!  And then I nearly missed my bus to the airport and flew to Girona, Spain, and took a bus from there to Barcelona, tucking into my cheap hostel bottom bunk for the night.
